Hello there. Looks like the start of the race is going to be delayed a bit due to rain that has been rolling through the area the past couple of hours.
Rain has just about stopped and once it does, we should be clear the rest of the afternoon. Typically it takes about 90 minutes to 2 hours to dry a track, so looking at a 2:30 or 3 pm ET start time.
I could look it up, but I'll go ahead and guess Michael Waltrip.
Umm, sunny skies? Really? Looks quite ominous to me. #nascar
Maybe those are the clouds that are blowing away. Let's hope.
Avg. number of caution flags at Michigan is 5. Most: 10 (2006). Fewest: 0 (3 times, most recently 1999) #nascar
Well, there's Joey Logano, but I think JGR will keep him around.
Then, of course, there's Kurt Busch. There's no telling what the future holds for him. I can't see any of the big teams taking a chance on him.
Ok, I sent it his way, I'll let you know how he responds. But yes, there are some concerns, especially in the Hendrick camp. Johnson and Newman are headed to the rear of the field because of engine changes.
And back to Mikey's Silly Season question, Dodge still needs to find some teams to field its cars. It doesn't sound as if anybody is beating their doors down.
I haven't really heard anything concrete on Andretti. That news came a few weeks back and it has been rather quiet since.
