Leinart out, rookie Yates replaces him
After throwing his first touchdown pass since 2008 -- a little floater to Joel Dreesen that the tight end finished off nicely -- Leinart is out for the day after he got his shoulder driven into the ground following an incomplete pass.
According to PFT, the injury might be a broken collarbone.
Without Matt Schaub in the lineup after a season-ending injury, the Texans have turned to T.J. Yates, a rookie fifth-round pick.
After taking over for Schaub, Yats completed 3 of his first 4 passes before he was penalized for intentional grounding in the red zone. Neil Rackers kicked a 33-yard field goal to give the Texans a 20-10 lead heading into halftime.
Tight end Owen Daniels is now the emergency quarterback.
