Cam Newton breaks his own record, again
Cam Newton scored his 10th rushing touchdown of the season to put the Panthers up 10-0 on the Colts early in the second quarter. That Carolina called a quarterback draw on third and two is interesting, considering Newton took a big shot on offense earlier.
Also interesting: that 10th touchdown set a rookie record for rushing touchdowns in a season. Again -- Newton broke his own record which he set last week against the Lions.
Perhaps most interesting, though, is that the Colts quickly answered on offense, using a pass interference call to get in the red zone and let Donald Brown rumble in for a touchdown to cut the lead to 10-7.
