Vikings' Peterson leaves game with left ankle injury
Adrian Peterson goes by many names: All Day, Purple Jesus, AP, Adrian. But with time expiring in the first quarter and the Vikings leading 7-3, Peterson had to be helped off the field after sustaining what looked like a left ankle injury.

On the play in question, Raiders' linebacker Kamerion Wimbley tackled Peterson low, ripping off his shoe in the process, and then safety Michael Huff hit him high, dragging him to the ground. Peterson's left leg got stuck underneath Huff as he went down.

AP, who had six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown before suffering the injury, was taken to the locker room on a cart.

Most offenses are built around their franchise quarterbacks, and that could someday be the case in Minnesota. But right now, the offense begins with Purple Jesus.

Toby Gerhart, you're up.
